Chin Enhancement
Dermal fillers can be used as a safe and non-invasive alternative to surgical chin enhancement.
The filler is injected with the goal of reshaping, defining, and contouring the chin.
WHICH FILLER IS USED, WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
The filler that we use for this procedure is Juvederm Voluma, one of the latest generation of volumising fillers. It has the capacity to fill and restore facial volume that has been lost. In clinical trials, Juvederm Voluma had high levels of safety and client satisfaction.
Non-surgical chin enhancement is used to add height, width, dimension, definition, and balance to the chin with the goal of achieving “facial harmony.” By injecting volume and height into the center point of the chin in women, the face will have a sharpened, more feminine, and thinner appearance. Women also often combine this treatment with jawline reshaping injections in order to receive the ideal desired look of a “V-shaped” face. Men often want a more masculine look, which can be achieved by injecting filler to add width to the chin, making it look more prominent, strong, and balanced. Small changes can make a huge difference in appearance and confidence, without the need for risky, invasive, and painful surgery.
IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?
A topical numbing anaesthetic cream will be applied prior to receiving the treatment to minimize any discomfort. The needle that is used to inject the filler is very fine and most patients only report minor discomfort during the procedure.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?
The procedure is a very quick one, and only takes between twenty to thirty minutes.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS,
AND HOW LONG WILL THEY LAST?
Improvement in the shape and definition of the chin can be seen immediately post-injection. Some swelling may occur, but will resolve in the first week after the procedure takes place.
The results will last between nine to twelve months. Top-up treatments are recommended every nine months or so in order to maintain the desired shape and definition.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
No, there is no downtime, and patients can resume normal activities the same day as the treatment.
Side effects include redness, minor swelling, tenderness, and localised bruising at the site of injection. However, these effects are not severe and will disappear in the first two to three days after the treatment. Over-the-counter painkillers may be used to help with any localised pain or tenderness in the days following the treatment.
